DIY Wedding Challenge: DIY Calligraphy
an at-home approach to fancy envelope addressing
Feel free to comment on it here!
Genius idea!!! haha who would have thought!
This is a great idea, especially considering my hand writing is terrible.
Wow! This should seem so obvious, but it never dawned on me. Awesome job...can't wait to give it a try! And I thought I was all special because I used index card lines on the inside of the envelope to write in straight lines...lol :P
Freakin' brilliant!! I wish I had seen this prior to addressing my envelopes!!!!!!
I've gotta do this!!! You're clever!
That's awesome! I love this idea!
I am so jealous of crafty people. Love the idea.
I love the font. Which one did you use?
It's Chopin Script, available for free download here.
I thought this was fabulous!
This was so easy and I got a great response!
My MS Word mailings tab was not working for me at all, so I just set up each page layout to be the size of one envelope, and then printed however many pages I needed, or went back to print just one if I messed up with the ink.
I did the same for my inner envelopes. Thanks for the great idea!
Oh yay! I'm so glad it worked for someone else! You should post pictures :)
I love your project. Vert creative.
Great idea! What kind of white ink did you use (brand?)? Did you use a dip pen or cartridge fountain-style pen? I'd love to do this, but am overwhelmed by the choices at the art store!
OK... what were expenses? cost of color printer ink, white ink and pen and nib? Time to format printer...feed envelopes? time to painstakingly trace over the letters printed? What do you feel your time is worth?
As long as no one thinks it is 'free'.
Great idea! All that work and the final result was computer calligraphy.
