Stockton Wedding

Situated along Interstate 5 in California, is the picturesque town of Stockton.  Whether you live in Stockton or the city’s lively spark has made you want to plan a destination Stockton wedding – there are numerous indoor and outdoor venues to serve your needs. As you begin your wedding planning, there are a few things you’ll want to consider.

Stockton Wedding Planning: Weather Watch

Spring in Stockton is stunning, with temperatures in the upper 60’s and 70’s, and is perfect if you’re craving a wedding under the open sky. There are more than 300 days of sunshine, so it’s unlikely that rain will spoil your big day, but you may want to create a plan B just in case.  Summer is also a wonderful time of year for outdoor weddings, but during July and August, temperatures soar to above 90 degrees.  Protection may be needed for the cake, food, and guests – and you may want to consider an updo to avoid the frizzies.

Stockton Wedding Planning: Tourist Attractions

From the Delta Casino on East Market Street to the Haggin Museum on North Pershing Avenue, Stockton features a wide array of exciting things to do.  However, booking your wedding while certain large events are taking place could cost you a lot of money.  For instance, the Asparagus Festival takes place in late April and typically hosts several popular bands and events that draw in the crowds.  This makes hotel room rates rise and vendor’s fees increase.

Stockton Wedding Planning: Bridal Shows

Regular bridal shows take place in Stockton, such as the Party and Wedding Faire at the Vintage Faire Mall (usually in September and January), and the Bridal Expo at local hotels.  Attending a bridal show is a fabulous way to learn about new trends, great brands, and you can enter to win free merchandise. It can also get the creative juices flowing as you begin planning your own Stockton wedding.
