The Bachelorette's Bounce Back!

Millions of people watched a stunned Melissa Rycroft get dumped on national TV by "Bachelor" Jason Mesnick  -- and witnessed Jillian Harris in tears as she learned her dateless fate on the ABC series. They say living well is the best revenge, and these bachelorettes are proving just that!

ABC announced that Jillian Harris will be the next "Bachelorette" and will have her very own pool of shiny, new eligible bachelors to choose from when the season debuts this May 18th.

Jillian told Us Weekly she was thrilled with this chance to find love: "It's a great opportunity for me...I fell in love once before and I know this is a great venue for me to fall in love again. Seeing what Jason went through makes you realize there's no guarantees in life. I only hope I make the right choice the first time."

Meanwhile, Melissa Rycroft was just recovering from her prime time breakup when she got a call from the producers of "Dancing with the Stars," asking her to join the show last minute when another star dancer was injured. 

After just 48 hours of rehearsal, Melissa joined partner Tony Dovolani Monday night for the waltz -- and ended up with one of the highest scores of the evening -- a 23/30! The judges gave the former cheerleader special praise for her dancing abilities: "I don't know about this guy, but he's a loser! You're a revelation," judge Bruno Tolioni said. "It was like watching a beautiful bird take flight!"
