These are the wedding inspiration boards I've made for our autumn 2010 wedding.

We wanted to avoid the more stereotypical autumn decor (pumpkins, oranges, yellows, reds), but keep a warm, cozy, autumn feeling.  We love the idea of incorporating some flora and fauna with vintage romance.  We especially love the lovebird themes, and acorns because they're a symbol of good luck and potential for the future.

The ideas we are going for are classy, romantic, vintage,  and whimsical, with hints of both woodsy / rustic and old-fashioned glamour.

My favorite parts of the upper inspiration board are the rich textures, the acorn boutonniere and the bouquet with succulents, scabiosa, roses and little tufts of feathers.  And my ring, of course!

I found the adorable ring bearer's "nest" and flower girl's basket on Etsy.  We're big on homemade and DIY.

While we'd like to have an outdoor ceremony, I think I'm too much of a control freak to risk bad weather in early October.  I think I'd have a break down.  We're hoping to bring some of the outdoors in with elements like the oak branch and acorn candleholders (on the top row) and the cut log table decor.

We aren't religious, but we love the symbolism behind the Jewish chuppah, and the intimate space it creates for the bride and groom during the ceremony.

We hope you like our inspiration boards!  I love making them, so if you need some help coming up with yours, drop me a note!

Thank you!

What a strange thing for nmrodrig to say! You must be so embarassed! The great thing about PW is that we're able to share our ideas and provide constructive feedback.

Alyson, I love what you've done, and I love the green bridesmaid dresses!

I love your inspiration boards! How did you create them? More specifically what program did you use?
