Your bridal shower is an exciting chance for you to get together with the girls, celebrate your upcoming union, and have a great time.  One thing every great bridal shower needs is games.  The games you choose should reflect your own personality and be fun for your favorite girls.  If you're the hostess, consider the bride-to-be's personality when planning bridal shower games.

If the Bride to Be Is:

Sweet and Sentimental -

Try games that are also sentimental or ones that the bride-to-be will really cherish.  One great game is to have all the ladies present tell the story of how they met the bride. The stories might be touching and bring a tear to the eye of the bride or they might be funny and make the bride laugh.  The individual who makes the bride laugh the hardest with her story receives a prize.

Another sentimental game to play is to have the ladies guess what trait the groom possesses which first attracted the bride.  Some guesses might include ‘his genuine smile' or ‘his protective side.'  Whoever guesses closest wins the prize.

Funny and Likes to Laugh -

Choose bridal shower games that will give her a good giggle.  For instance, have each guest bring a funny piece of clothing (fuzzy socks, a bra, etc.) and put the pieces of clothing into a basket.  When it's time to play the game, blindfold the bride and place oven mitts on her hands.

Let her know that the lights have gone out and she has suddenly been invited to dinner by her dashing groom-to-be.  Give her 5 minutes to get dressed, using the clothing in the basket while she's blindfolded and wearing the oven mitts.  You will probably want to make sure the video camera is charged for this one!

 A Bit Spicy -

For brides who are a bit spicy and have fun personalities, there are many different games to choose from.  In keeping with her personality, consider games that will make the guests blush slightly.  You don't want anything out of line, and you may even want to check with the bride first - but some ‘spicy' games can be fun.

For instance, place blank slips of paper in a basket before the party.  Upon arrival, the guests will write down which celebrity the bride thinks is the hottest.  Maybe she's a Johnny Depp girl or perhaps she prefers Brad Pitt...the guest who chooses the right celebrity wins a prize!

Or for an ‘on the go' bridal shower, have guests create a list of things they want to see the bride accomplish before her wedding day.  The funnier, the better (such as get a phone number from a fisherman or dance with a man named Terrence.)  It will be a laugh to see the bride trying to accomplish these tasks and will make a great bridal shower game.

When you consider the personality and character of the bride, it will be easier to create bridal shower games that please the bride and her guests.
