DIY Decor: Lilac + Khaki

This rustic place setting is perfect for a casual or outdoor wedding or shower. (expert advice)

Embrace the countryside with khaki-colored gingham and bowls of lilac blossom. We started out with a, floor-length linen tablecloth topped with a checked table runner made from a couple yards of fabric.

For our centerpiece, we gathered 2 bunches of regular lilac and three bunches of Korean lilac and placed them in a white pudding bowl. We cut some lilac greenery and added that in after the blossoms.

Each place setting is set with white dishes and glassware and topped with a gift for each guest.

The favors are jars of honey (we bought honey in bulk, and poured it into recycled jars). Each jar is topped with cheesecloth, tied with twine, and finished off with a little lilac blossom ( have your caterer add those at the last minute).

Iced tea is served in a woven canister to set a low-key mood and add a bit of warmth to the table.

Enjoy!
