Make-Up Messups: Don’t Make These Wedding Make up Mistakes
Don't look like a clown or raccoon in your wedding photos! Follow these tips. (expert advice)
Your appearance for your wedding day is naturally very important to you! All brides-to-be should leave their guests, family and friends speechless when they enter the room. Of course, this is in part due to a stunning dress, sophisticated hair style and glowing excitement – but the make-up has a lot to do with it as well. Use this information to avoid make-up messups on your wedding day.
Using Mascara That Isn’t Waterproof
One of the biggest mistakes brides-to-be make is wearing mascara that isn’t waterproof. Chances are you will get teary-eyed as you and your guy share those special moments – becoming husband and wife. You do not want to resemble a raccoon at your ceremony and in your wedding photographs. Choose a waterproof mascara that will stay put – even through your tears of joy!
Changing Make-up Right before the Wedding
If you usually wear one particular brand of make up, but want to try something special for your wedding day – be sure to try it well in advance. Unfortunately, many brides-to-be have tried a new make-up on their wedding day only to find that they are allergic or their skin has had a reaction to the make-up. You do not want to be covered in red blotches or acne for your wedding! Be sure to try all new facial products at least a month in advance to make sure it’s going to go smoothly.
Too Much Make-Up
Another common wedding make-up messup is wearing way too much! If you usually keep your make up light and natural looking, you shouldn’t put on a ton of make-up the day of your wedding. You want to look natural and beautiful, so try to stick with the same amount of make-up you normally wear. Of course, changing up shades is a great idea but you don’t want to appear ‘overdone.’
Using too Much Shimmer
Most brides will want to apply some shimmer – either to their cheeks or eyebrows for their wedding day. When the shimmer is applied just the right way, it adds to the beautiful natural glow you already have. However, when too much shimmer is used, it can make your face look sweaty or oily – especially in wedding photographs. To keep it natural looking, apply the shimmer to only one place. Also, just give it a light dust to avoid the ‘sweaty’ look!
You may seek the help of a professional make-up artist for your wedding day or you might do your make-up yourself. Either way, make sure you avoid these common wedding make-up messups!
