We all know that looking and feeling your best is an essential part of preparing for a wedding, and some women will go through drastic measures to achieve their results. They often search for special bridal diets to help them squeeze into a size 4 wedding dress and feel lighter on their feet for endless dancing at the reception. However, the best bridal diets are the ones that not only help you shine on your special day, but also jumpstart a healthy lifestyle for many happy years to come.

If you're looking for bridal diets that work, you don’t want to fall for the get-thin-quick schemes that could cause your face to look too gaunt; flatten your hair; produce a lifeless skin tone; and bring brittle nails. Instead, consider the following tips in order to establish your own bridal diet that takes into account not only your walk down the aisle, but also your overall health:

High-Fiber Foods
Pile on the fruits, vegetables, grains, and beans that deliver a decent dose of fiber. When choosing carbohydrates while on a quest to lose weight, the ones with a lot of fiber bring the best results because in addition to being full of nutrients, they are also quite filling. I bet you didn’t know that foods with a lot of fiber also help slow the absorption of carbohydrates, creating consistent blood sugar levels. Your benefit? Less food cravings!

Say 'No' to Refined Sugars
Bridal diets for losing weight usually moderate the amount of refined sugars eaten. This means that you should limit your intake of candy, baked sweets, and soda. The more sweet foods consumed means the higher your chances are for falling victim to food cravings.

Pair Regular Exercise with Low Calorie Intake
Bridal diets are nothing without the burning of calories. Ideally, in order to lose weight, you need to find a healthy balance between the number of calories you consume and your daily exercise. To enjoy steady and stable results in weight loss – it is suggested to reduce your average daily caloric intake by 20% or so. Pair this bridal diet tip with routine exercise and watch the pounds melt away.

Include All Food Groups
In order to efficiently burn calories, it is important to receive all of the vitamins, fatty acids, amino acids, minerals, and other nutrients necessary to lose weight and maintain your health. This means you should include items from each food group, which will also help combat overeating that comes from being bored with a bland diet.

Whether you join a gym, work out with friends, or consult a nutritionist on the best bridal diets, you can follow the above tips to help you stay on track for losing weight the healthy way.

Good advice, yeah, but for those of us who already exercise a whole lot and already watch what you eat it gets a bit more difficult.  My problem is that I don't eat enough and that is also an enemy!  When you are already slim it takes longer and it's harder to lose weight cause your body wants to hold on to fat... I certainly didnt intend to buy a dress that was too small but now I have no option but to lose 5-7 pounds in order for the zipper to close all the up!  My friends say I'm going to look anorexic but what else can I do?  How am I going to get through the holidays without gaining an ounce and then lose 5-7 pounds on top of that?  Urgh!
