Take a Night off from Wedding Planning
Does all this wedding mania have you totally stressed? Read on for a little R&R! (expert advice)
Wedding planning can be fun and exciting, but it can also be frustrating and stressful at the same time. Trying to make everything come together to create one perfect, special day is no easy task. If you feel yourself getting tired, stressed out or just plain exhausted -- perhaps it's time to take a night off from wedding planning!
Invite the Girls Over!
In the midst of wedding planning, it can seem like the only time you see your friends and family is when you're shopping for the wedding, talking about the wedding or decorating for the wedding. Give the wedding talk the night off and rent a few great movies. Spend your time chatting about the hunky guys in the films, what's new in your girlfriends' lives and munching on popcorn or other snacks. This is a nice way to get your mind off invitation fonts, flavors of cake and the guest list!
Take a Few Moments for Yourself
If it's been months since you and the soon-to-be groom were able to spend some time together privately -- perhaps you should devote a night to you and him. Book a room at a local hotel just to get a change of scenery. Make sure the tub is large enough for you both to enjoy a good soak and turn off the cell phones. You can have a romantic in-room picnic or get dressed up and go out for a nice dinner. Either way, it's important to continue nurturing your relationship and taking a night off from wedding planning to spend together is a great way to do that.
Curl Up with a Good Book
If you would rather spend a few quiet moments at home, let everyone know you won't be available. Then curl up in your favorite chair with the latest bestseller. Sip some hot cocoa, don your favorite cozy pajamas and allow yourself to escape from reality into a mesmerizing story. It's important to lower your stress levels so you will be a happy, healthy bride on the big day. Why don't you take a night off from wedding planning with your favorite book and a quiet home?
Do Something Exciting
If you feel like you've been missing out on regular life since you've started preparing for the wedding, perhaps you should do something exciting and fun. Take a night off from wedding planning by going to a concert, visiting a carnival that's in town or doing something else you find stimulating and entertaining. Invite your closest friends or make it a night just for you and the groom!
Although you are planning one of the most important days in your life, remember that everyone needs a break and yours will be a well-deserved one! Enjoy your night off and you should return to wedding planning with a refreshed and renewed outlook.
