Enter the glamorous world of Liz Fields' bridal gowns! (expert advice)
I met designer Liz Fields in New York City a few weeks back, who has an incredibly romantic sense of style, talent and a grace that is reflected in each and every one of her wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses.
Growing up in the garment industry in NY, Fields has always been surrounded by fashion, fabrics and lots of gowns! She began her career as an assistant costume designer and eventually developed her line of well-known bridesmaid dresses (which are absolutely stunning, by the way!) She showed me her brand new collection of wedding dresses for Spring 2010 -- which were both elegant and wearable for many different body types. My absolute favorite from her destination bridal collection is this braided beauty, which reminds me of old Hollywood or something I would see on the red carpet! It is also an absolute steal for right around $300!
From her Lo-Ve-La Bridal collection, my pick had to be this flattering, strapless, belted gown with an asymmetrical pleated skirt - heavenly and the price is under $1,000!
Other standouts included this floor-length, popular bridesmaid dress in sand/black, which also comes in an array of other colors. It caught my eye immediately and was apparently a favorite of many visitors to Fields' showroom, she revealed.
My final favorite was this lovely lilac chiffon dress - perfect for a wedding or any other fun occasion. Both bridesmaid creations retail between $150-$200.
The mission of Liz Fields is to "create gowns that women fall in love with." Mission accomplished!
