Stephanie and Valerie Chin, the sweet, savvy and stylish sisters behind Moonlight and Val Stefani, just sat down with us in New York to discuss all things weddings! They also revealed some of their gorgeous 2010 gowns -- and talked about what's in store for brides next year.

According to Stephanie, the fashion forecast includes rosettes, less poof and more classic streamlining. Another new trend? "We are seeing a lot of two-toned looks, with the bodice and the skirt being two different colors."

One of her absolute favorites from Val Stefani's new collection? The dreamy D7973 (seen below) in silk shantung with layered rosettes and an asymmetrical shoulder. This gown's bragging rights?  It was featured on the cover of March Bridal Guide, is breathtaking in person and the best part...it retails for around $2000.

Both Stephanie and Valerie agree that it is extremely important to stay open-minded when shopping for your bridal gown. "Be willing to try things on. You need to really love what you are going to wear," Valerie says. "Do not be too influenced by friends and family. At the end of the day, love what you are wearing."

Another highlight is this flowing, halter-style, beach casual dress (style T491) which retails for less than $500. What a find!!

As far as any "skinny tips" for brides, there are three key factors to consider, Stephanie revealed. "The silhouette, the proportions and the fit, as long as you look for these key things, you will always look good."

Sashes are also an amazing way to add a splash of color to your wedding, putting the focus on the waistline. "It breaks up the streamline of the silhouette, everyone looks thinner, which is what everyone always wants!"

Besides their timeless wedding dresses, Stephanie and Valerie are extremely excited about their bridesmaid dress options. Available in over 30 different shades (enough to fit any color palette) the wrap dress (seen below in green, style MT9011) is amazing because of its flexibility and tie -- which can be adjusted and very forgiving if you have put on a few lbs! It retails for right around $135.

The other popular option is style VS9035, available in solid or two-toned combinations. This versatile, convertible neckline dress is featured in one of the favorite colors of the season, berry, and prices right around $200.

Stephanie says what makes a wedding special for her, besides a well-fitted gown, is the couple. "We like when we see the love that the bride and groom have for each other -- that is what makes a really good wedding."

Both sisters agree that the absolute best part of this career in fashion is both the ability to be creative and to hear that people love and enjoy wearing their designs.

I do love Moonlight Bridal, it's wonderful to be able to learn more about them!!  I have my own personal favorite - I972.  It's classic feminin fit and clean lines are exquisite.  There is nothing fussy about it...yet I'm sure it can light up a room.
